Botox Post-Procedure Care

As you leave the clinic you might notice tiny bumps at injection sites from needles. This is temporary and should return to normal within an hour or 2. 

For the next 4 hours you should keep your head upright. Do not bend over or lay down. Wait at least 4 hours before touching the treated areas. For 1 hour after your treatment, you should exaggerate the use of the muscles that have been injected. This promotes the binding of the neurotoxin to the muscle. 

5% of people may experience a mild headache after the treatment. You may take Tylenol to help with this. Avoid taking Advil as this will increase bruising chances due to Advil’s blood thinning effects.

5% of people experience slight bruising from the injections.This is common and will gradually disappear. You may cover the area with makeup/concealer the next day. 

You may immediately resume your normal activities but wait 24 hours before exercising. We also recommend no heat including saunas, hot yogas, tanning beds for 24 hours.

Be patient. The results are not immediately apparent. It takes 3 – 5 days to start seeing effects and 2 weeks for the final results.
