Low iron and iron-deficiency can leave you feeling tired, weak, dizzy, short of breath, or unable to perform at your best. When oral iron is not tolerated, not effective, or when iron needs to be replaced more quickly, intravenous (IV) iron therapy may be an option.
Our IV iron treatments are administered by qualified healthcare professionals in a clinical setting, following an appropriate medical assessment.
WHO MAY BENEFIT FROM IV IRON?
IV iron may be considered for individuals with confirmed or suspected iron deficiency, particularly when:
- Oral iron is poorly tolerated
- Oral iron has not adequately corrected iron deficiency
- Iron replacement is needed more efficiently
- There is impaired absorption of oral iron
- Iron requirements are increased
- A healthcare professional determines IV iron is appropriate
COMMON SYMPTOMS OF IRON DEFICIENCY

- Dizziness or lightheadedness

Not everyone with these symptoms has iron deficiency. Appropriate blood work and clinical assessment by a healthcare professional will be used to determine treatment plan.
